Sheikh Abu Abdullah Mounir bin Mohammed Al-Moudhafer, known as 'Sheikh of Tunisian Reciters from Sfax', is one of the most prominent Quran reciters in Tunisia and the Islamic world. Born on July 7, 1953 in Sfax, he studied in Tunisia, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, graduating from the Islamic University of Madinah. He holds one of the highest chains of transmission (isnād) in the Islamic world today. His voice is distinguished by deep reverence and purity, mastering the Qalun reading of Nafi' in a calm, meditative style.

Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al-Barrak (may Allah have mercy on him) was one of Tunisia's greatest Quran reciters. Born in 1899 in Kairouan, he passed away on December 4, 1981. Despite visual impairment from childhood, he memorized the Quran and mastered tajwid and the seven readings. He was the first to recite in the Qalun reading of Nafi' on Tunisian radio in 1938.
