العَادِيَات

وَالْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحاٗ﴿1﴾

والعديت ضبحا

By the galloping, panting horses,

فَالْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحاٗ﴿2﴾

فالموريت قدحا

striking sparks of fire [with their hooves],

فَالْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحاٗ﴿3﴾

فالمغيرت صبحا

launching raids at dawn,

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعاٗ﴿4﴾

فأثرن به نقعا

stirring up thereby clouds of dust,

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعاً﴿5﴾

فوسطن به جمعا

plunging thereby into the midst of the enemy,

إِنَّ اَلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٞ﴿6﴾

إن الإنسن لربه لكنود

indeed, man is very ungrateful to his Lord –

وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞ﴿7﴾

وإنه على ذلك لشهيد

and he himself is a witness to that –

وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ اِلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ﴿8﴾

وإنه لحب الخير لشديد

and he is truly extreme in his love of wealth.

أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي اِلْقُبُورِ﴿9﴾

أفلا يعلم إذا بعثر ما في القبور

Does he not know that when the contents of graves will be overturned,

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي اِلصُّدُورِ﴿10﴾

وحصل ما في الصدور

and the secrets of the hearts will be brought to light?

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُ﴿11﴾

إن ربهم بهم يومئذ لخبير

Indeed, their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day.
