البَيِّنَة

لَمْ يَكُنِ اِلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ اِلْكِتَٰبِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ اُلْبَيِّنَةُ﴿1﴾

لم يكن الذين كفروا من أهل الكتب والمشركين منفكين حتى تأتيهم البينة

Those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists were not going to desist [from disbelief] until there came to them clear proof,

رَسُولٞ مِّنَ اَللَّهِ يَتْلُواْ صُحُفاٗ مُّطَهَّرَةٗ﴿2﴾

رسول من الله يتلوا صحفا مطهرة

a messenger from Allah, reciting pure pages

فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ﴿3﴾

فيها كتب قيمة

containing upright commandments.

وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ اَلذِينَ أُوتُواْ اُلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ اُلْبَيِّنَةُ﴿4﴾

وما تفرق الذين أوتوا الكتب إلا من بعد ما جاءتهم البينة

Yet those who were given the Scripture did not disagree except after the clear proof came to them,

وَمَا أُمِرُواْ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُواْ اُللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ اُلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ اُلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُواْ اُلزَّكَوٰةَ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ اُلْقَيِّمَةِ﴿5﴾

وما أمروا إلا ليعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء ويقيموا الصلوة ويؤتوا الزكوة وذلك دين القيمة

although they were commanded only to worship Allah with sincere devotion to Him, being inclined to the true faith, and to establish prayer and give zakah; that is the true religion.

إِنَّ اَلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ اِلْكِتَٰبِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ اُلْبَرِيَٓٔةِ﴿6﴾

إن الذين كفروا من أهل الكتب والمشركين في نار جهنم خلدين فيها أولئك هم شر البرية

Those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever. It is they who are the worst of creatures.

إِنَّ اَلذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ اُلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ اُلْبَرِيَٓٔةِ﴿7﴾

إن الذين ءامنوا وعملوا الصلحت أولئك هم خير البرية

As for those who believe and do righteous deeds – it is they who are the best of creatures.

جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٖ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا اَلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَداٗ رَّضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُواْ عَنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ﴿8﴾

جزاؤهم عند ربهم جنت عدن تجري من تحتها الأنهر خلدين فيها أبدا رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه ذلك لمن خشي ربه

Their reward with their Lord is Gardens of Eternity under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. This is for those who fear their Lord.
