تَبَٰرَكَ اَلذِي بِيَدِهِ اِلْمُلْكُ وَهْوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٖ قَدِيرٌ﴿1﴾
تبرك الذي بيده الملك وهو على كل شيء قدير
Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Most Capable of all things.
اِلذِي خَلَقَ اَلْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاٗ وَهْوَ اَلْعَزِيزُ اُلْغَفُورُ﴿2﴾
الذي خلق الموت والحيوة ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا وهو العزيز الغفور
Who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deeds, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Forgiving.
اُلذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقاٗ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ اِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖ فَارْجِعِ اِلْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٖ﴿3﴾
الذي خلق سبع سموت طباقا ما ترى في خلق الرحمن من تفوت فارجع البصر هل ترى من فطور
Who created seven heavens one above another; you will not see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Compassionate. Look again; can you see any flaw?
ثُمَّ اَرْجِعِ اِلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ اَلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئاٗ وَهْوَ حَسِيرٞ﴿4﴾
ثم ارجع البصر كرتين ينقلب إليك البصر خاسيا وهو حسير
Then look again and again; your sight will turn back to you humbled and weary.
وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا اَلسَّمَآءَ اَلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا رُجُوماٗ لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ اَلسَّعِيرِ﴿5﴾
ولقد زينا السماء الدنيا بمصبيح وجعلنها رجوما للشيطين وأعتدنا لهم عذاب السعير
We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps and have made them as missiles to stone the devils, and We have prepared for them the punishment of the Blazing Fire.
وَلِلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ اَلْمَصِيرُ﴿6﴾
وللذين كفروا بربهم عذاب جهنم وبيس المصير
For those who disbelieve in their Lord there will be the punishment of Hell. What a terrible destination!
إِذَا أُلْقُواْ فِيهَا سَمِعُواْ لَهَا شَهِيقاٗ وَهْيَ تَفُورُ﴿7﴾
إذا ألقوا فيها سمعوا لها شهيقا وهي تفور
When they are thrown in it, they will hear its roaring as it boils up,
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ اَلْغَيْظِ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٞ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٞ﴿8﴾
تكاد تميز من الغيظ كلما ألقي فيها فوج سألهم خزنتها ألم يأتكم نذير
almost bursting in fury. Every time a group is thrown in it, its keepers will ask them, “Did there not come to you a warner?”
قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ﴿9﴾
قالوا بلى قد جاءنا نذير
They will say, “Yes, a warner did come to us, but we denied and said, ‘Allah has not sent down anything; you are greatly misguided.’”
فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اَللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ﴿10﴾
فكذبنا وقلنا ما نزل الله من شيء إن أنتم إلا في ضلل كبير
And they will say, “If only we had listened or understood, we would not be among the dwellers of the Blazing Fire.”
وَقَالُواْ لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَٰبِ اِلسَّعِيرِ﴿11﴾
وقالوا لو كنا نسمع أو نعقل ما كنا في أصحب السعير
Thus they will confess their sins. So away with the dwellers of the Blazing Fire!
فَاعْتَرَفُواْ بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسُحْقاٗ لِّأَصْحَٰبِ اِلسَّعِيرِ﴿12﴾
فاعترفوا بذنبهم فسحقا لأصحب السعير
Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and a great reward.
إِنَّ اَلذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٞ وَأَجْرٞ كَبِيرٞ﴿13﴾
إن الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب لهم مغفرة وأجر كبير
Whether you speak secretly or openly, He is All-Knowing of that which is in the hearts.
وَأَسِرُّواْ قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اِجْهَرُواْ بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمُ بِذَاتِ اِلصُّدُورِ﴿14﴾
وأسروا قولكم أو اجهروا به إنه عليم بذات الصدور
Does He not know His Own creation, when He is the Most Subtle, the All-Aware?
أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهْوَ اَللَّطِيفُ اُلْخَبِيرُ﴿15﴾
ألا يعلم من خلق وهو اللطيف الخبير
It is He Who made the earth smooth for you, so travel through its regions and eat from His provisions. And to Him is the resurrection.
هُوَ اَلذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اُلْأَرْضَ ذَلُولاٗ فَامْشُواْ فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُواْ مِن رِّزْقِهِ وَإِلَيْهِ اِلنُّشُورُ﴿16﴾
هو الذي جعل لكم الأرض ذلولا فامشوا في مناكبها وكلوا من رزقه وإليه النشور
Do you feel secure that He Who is above heaven will not cause the earth to sink with you, and then suddenly convulse?
ءَٰامِنتُم مَّن فِي اِلسَّمَآءِ اَنْ يَّخْسِفَ بِكُمُ اُلْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ﴿17﴾
ءامنتم من في السماء ان يخسف بكم الأرض فإذا هي تمور
Do you feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not send against you a storm of stones? Only then would you know how [serious] My warning was!
أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي اِلسَّمَآءِ اَنْ يُّرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِباٗ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ﴿18﴾
أم أمنتم من في السماء ان يرسل عليكم حاصبا فستعلمون كيف نذير
Those who came before them rejected [the messengers]; then how severe was My response!
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ اَلذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ﴿19﴾
ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم فكيف كان نكير
Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out and folding in their wings? None holds them up except the Most Compassionate. He is indeed All-Seeing of everything.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَى اَلطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَٰٓفَّٰتٖ وَيَقْبِضْنَ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا اَلرَّحْمَٰنُ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءِ بَصِيرٌ﴿20﴾
أولم يروا إلى الطير فوقهم صفت ويقبضن ما يمسكهن إلا الرحمن إنه بكل شيء بصير
Which is your army that can come to your aid against the Most Compassionate? The disbelievers are in utter delusion.
أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا اَلذِي هُوَ جُندٞ لَّكُمْ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ اِلرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنِ اِلْكَٰفِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ﴿21﴾
أمن هذا الذي هو جند لكم ينصركم من دون الرحمن إن الكفرون إلا في غرور
Who is there to give you provision if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in arrogance and aversion.
أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا اَلذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ بَل لَّجُّواْ فِي عُتُوّٖ وَنُفُورٍ﴿22﴾
أمن هذا الذي يرزقكم إن أمسك رزقه بل لجوا في عتو ونفور
Who is better guided: the one who walks stumbling and falling on his face or the one who walks upright on a straight path?
أَفَمَنْ يَّمْشِي مُكِبّاً عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّنْ يَّمْشِي سَوِيّاً عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسْتَقِيمٖ﴿23﴾
أفمن يمشي مكبا على وجهه أهدى أمن يمشي سويا على صرط مستقيم
Say, “It is He Who brought you into being and gave you hearing, sight, and hearts; little do you give thanks.”
قُلْ هُوَ اَلذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ اُلسَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَٰرَ وَالْأَفْـِٕدَةَ قَلِيلاٗ مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ﴿24﴾
قل هو الذي أنشأكم وجعل لكم السمع والأبصر والأفـدة قليلا ما تشكرون
Say, “It is He Who has dispersed you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.”
قُلْ هُوَ اَلذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي اِلْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ﴿25﴾
قل هو الذي ذرأكم في الأرض وإليه تحشرون
They say: “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا اَلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ﴿26﴾
ويقولون متى هذا الوعد إن كنتم صدقين
Say, “That knowledge is with Allah alone, and I am only a clear warner.”
قُلْ إِنَّمَا اَلْعِلْمُ عِندَ اَللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ﴿27﴾
قل إنما العلم عند الله وإنما أنا نذير مبين
Then when they see it approaching closer, the faces of the disbelievers will be distressed, and it will be said, “This is what you were asking for.”
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةٗ سيَٓٔتْ وُجُوهُ اُلذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا اَلذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ﴿28﴾
فلما رأوه زلفة سيت وجوه الذين كفروا وقيل هذا الذي كنتم به تدعون
Say, “What do you think, if Allah causes me and those who are with me to die or shows us mercy, who will save the disbelievers from a painful punishment?”
قُلْ أَرَٰيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اَللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِيَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَنْ يُّجِيرُ اُلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ﴿29﴾
قل أريتم إن أهلكني الله ومن معي أو رحمنا فمن يجير الكفرين من عذاب أليم
Say, “He is the Most Compassionate; we believe in Him and put our trust in Him. You will come to know who is clearly misguided.”
قُلْ هُوَ اَلرَّحْمَٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ﴿30﴾
قل هو الرحمن ءامنا به وعليه توكلنا فستعلمون من هو في ضلل مبين
Say, “What do you think, if your water were to sink deep into the earth, who can bring you flowing water?”
قُلْ أَرَٰيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْراٗ فَمَنْ يَّأْتِيكُم بِمَآءٖ مَّعِينِ﴿31﴾
قل أريتم إن أصبح ماؤكم غورا فمن يأتيكم بماء معين
