بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1
أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ﴿1﴾
ألم نشرح لك صدرك
Have We not reassured your heart for you [O Prophet],
2
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ﴿2﴾
ووضعنا عنك وزرك
and relieved you of your burden
3
اَلذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ﴿3﴾
الذي أنقض ظهرك
that weighed down your back,
4
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ﴿4﴾
ورفعنا لك ذكرك
and raised high your fame for you?
5
فَإِنَّ مَعَ اَلْعُسْرِ يُسْراً﴿5﴾
فإن مع العسر يسرا
For indeed, with hardship comes ease,
6
إِنَّ مَعَ اَلْعُسْرِ يُسْراٗ﴿6﴾
إن مع العسر يسرا
indeed, with hardship comes ease.
7
فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ﴿7﴾
فإذا فرغت فانصب
So whenever you are free, strive in worship,
8
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب﴿8﴾
وإلى ربك فارغب
and turn to your Lord in devotion.
